Calculation
Volumetric (Dimensional) Weight Explained
Airlines charge the greater of actual weight or volumetric weight. This is why a light sofa can cost more to fly than a heavy box of bolts.
The formula
Volumetric weight (kg) = length × width × height (cm) ÷ 6000. Chargeable weight = max(actual gross kg, volumetric kg). We quote on the chargeable weight, never on a hidden surprise.

- Pieces up to ~3.0 m long on a standard pallet
- Single-piece gross weight up to ~1,000 kg (freighter)
- Nose- and side-door dims checked per carrier
- Pallet height must not exceed ULD build limits

Palletising & Wooden Crating
Good packing is what turns "we can't load that" into a clean booking. In our Shenzhen warehouse we consolidate loose cartons, build export pallets and fabricate crates.

How is the chargeable weight of oversize cargo calculated?

What is the maximum size that can fly by air from China?
Standard wide-body aircraft accept pieces up to roughly 3 × 2.3 × 1.6 m on a pallet, but dims are checked against each carrier's door limits. Heavier or longer pieces go on freighters or move by sea/rail.
