How Our Air Freight Shipping Process Works
Booking international air freight from China is simpler than it looks. Five clear steps, one point of contact, and updates at every milestone from our Shenzhen warehouse to your door.
Step 1 — Get a Quote
Tell us four things: where the cargo is (city in China), where it is going, the total weight and dimensions, and what the goods are. Include whether there are batteries, liquids or other sensitive items. We reply within 2 working hours with an itemised, indicative price — air rate, fuel, pickup, customs and delivery broken out. You can start on the quote page or email info@euairc.com. The more accurate your weight and dimensions, the more accurate the quote, because air freight is charged on the greater of gross or volumetric weight.
Step 2 — Booking & Paperwork
Once you approve the quote, we issue a booking and send you the document checklist. For most cargo we need a commercial invoice and a packing list; for battery products we also need UN38.3 and MSDS documentation, and for oversize cargo we confirm the exact piece measurements and whether it needs crating. You choose DDP (duty paid, all-in) or DDU (you clear import) at this stage. DDP and dual-clearance are explained on our DDP service page.
Step 3 — Pickup & Warehouse
We arrange collection from your supplier or factory across Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Yiwu or Hong Kong. Goods arrive at our Shenzhen warehouse, where they are re-weighed, measured, counted against the packing list, photographed and consolidated. Fragile or oversize pieces get wooden crating or palletising. If multiple suppliers send goods, we merge them into one air consignment so you pay on the final consolidated weight. See our origin gateways for pickup coverage.
Step 4 — Export, Flight & Import
We handle the export customs declaration in China, deliver the cargo to the airline terminal and book it onto a flight to your destination airport — Kyiv (KBP), Lviv (LWO), Odesa (ODS), Warsaw (WAW), Gdansk (GDN), Krakow (KRK), London (LHR/LGW), Manchester (MAN) or Birmingham (BHX). Batteries and sensitive goods move under IATA DGR with the correct DG paperwork. Typical flight-plus-transfer time is a few days; see the transit time guide for the full picture. You receive updates at handover, departure and arrival.
Step 5 — Customs Clearance & Delivery
On arrival, our destination partners clear the import customs. On DDP shipments we settle duties and VAT on your behalf; on DDU arrangements you or your broker clear, using the full document pack we provide. Last-mile trucking then delivers the cargo to your door, warehouse or Amazon fulfilment centre. We confirm receipt and remain available until everything is delivered. Questions about clearance? Read the customs clearance guide.
