Airlines quote flying time in hours, but your cargo lives in a door-to-door world. Several practical factors decide how many days it actually takes.
Flight frequency & connections
Direct flights are fastest. When belly capacity is tight or routing connects through a hub (Seoul, Almaty, Dubai), allow an extra 1–2 days. We pick the fastest available routing for your date.
Cargo type
General cargo flies on standard bookings. Batteries, liquids and magnetised goods need DG classification and special loading, which can add 1–2 days of preparation.
Customs & peak season
Clearance is usually 0.5–1 day on complete paperwork, but incorrect HS codes or missing documents cause holds. Q4 peak season and China's Spring Festival slow both pickup and clearance. See the customs guide.

1. Booked & picked up
You receive the booking confirmation, AWB number and expected flight date the day cargo reaches the warehouse.
2. Exported & flown
We notify you when export declaration is complete and when the cargo has lifted off, with the carrier and flight number.
3. Landed & cleared
On arrival, we confirm landing, customs clearance progress and any duty/VAT settled under DDP.
4. Delivered
Final-mile delivery to your door or fulfilment centre, with proof of delivery once signed.

Transit Time Questions
How many days does air freight take from China to Europe?
Indicative door-to-door transit is about 4–6 working days to Poland and the UK, and 5–7 working days to Ukraine, from confirmed pickup. Flying time itself is only 1–3 days; the rest is pickup, consolidation and clearance.
Does the transit time include customs clearance?
Yes. Our door-to-door figures include pickup, export, the flight, import customs clearance and final delivery. On DDP shipments, duties and VAT are already settled before the truck arrives. Customs guide →
What if my cargo is delayed or lost in transit?
